Roberto Di Giulio is an architect, PhD in "Technology of Architecture", Full Professor at the University of Ferrara, Faculty of Architecture, where he teaches Construction Design. Head of the Department of Architecture at the University of Ferrara from 2006 to 2012.
His research activities, developed in national and international projects, cover a broad range of issues including: studies of materials performances and building design methodologies, innovative technologies and design methodologies for Cultural Heritage conservation and restoration, maintenance strategies and building pathology applied to the historic and contemporary buildings.
From 2015 to 2018 he coordinated INCEPTION Project, a large, innovative European research project on “Inclusive Cultural Heritage in Europe through 3D semantic modelling” funded by the European Commission within the programme Reflective 7 – Horizon 2020.
He is the CEO of the spin-off INCEPTION, a start-up incubated in the University of Ferrara.
