Roberta Garibaldi

Member of the Board of Advisors and Ambassador for Italy at the World Food Travel Association

Roberta has made her life’s passion – travel – her work. She continues to travel, but with a very precise objective: to put her experiences at the service of strategies and projects.

She is Professor of Marketing and Economics and Management of Tourism Enterprises at the University of Bergamo, and today she focuses all her energies in research on food and wine tourism, #FoodTourism, and cultural tourism.

She carries out consultancy and research activities for public or private, national or foreign entities, aimed at promoting and managing local tourism.

She is the mother of an 11-year-old girl and considers her education in the value and respect for art and the territory her specific duty as a parent.

In the past, in Bergamo, she conducted a range of pro bono activities for the local authorities. She is also dedicated to social work within the Sant’Alessandro Lions Club, of which she was president in 2011-2012. She has received the Melvin Jones Fellow Award.

In BTO11, she is on the Planning Committee, and in the FOOD and WINE TOURISM Working Group.
