In a few lines, from your point of view and based on what you have gathered so far, what are the main developments that you think could be presented at BTO11? So, an invitation for the audience to take part.
The theme of the 2019 edition is summarised with the label “Smart”, to which is added the slogan, “Right Here, Right Now!”
The spirit of BTO is clear and transparent. Constantly renewing is the secret ingredient in any successful recipe for companies operating in hospitality. Perhaps this is the only way to go. BTO, with its ever-renewed and innovative pathway, is an excellent example of this.
In your workgroup, what do you deal with specifically?
Since the target of “restaurateurs” has been identified, having also been my audience for approximately a decade, I am proposing certain pathways that combine – with a holistic approach – territory, hospitality, hotel add-ons and catering. And many good things are coming out of it!
Destination, Digital Strategy, Food and Wine Tourism and Hospitality – the main topics of BTO11. Your contribution will be incorporated into the scientific programming schedule. The underlying theme is SMART. Can you help us to break this down from your perspective and with regards to the theme you are handling?
In order to embrace the future and to be innovative in our Italian hospitality, so as to better the results and significance in terms of employment and economics, we need to surpass a period of change that persists and go at a different pace from that sustained. Governing rapid streams requires simple strategies and visions, updated knowledge but also clear benchmarks and objectives. This can be expanded by fuelling the analytical and design capabilities of operators within the industry and by providing a solid source of training and information. That is SMART!
